A few practical ways to make the web beta comfortable for your family.

Start a letter together

Open the free web beta, tap Play, and introduce Pip. On Hear, tap the letter or the separate name and sound controls. Children can replay a sound, tap a picture instead of dragging, and choose when to continue.

Introduce unfamiliar picture names before trying the activity. “Present” for gift or “lizard” for iguana is a reasonable response. Stars celebrate completing the activity, not a test score.

If a sound doesn’t play

1. Check the game’s speaker button and the device’s media volume. Make sure sound is playing through the intended speaker rather than connected headphones.
2. Tap the sound control yourself. Browsers may wait for a tap before allowing audio.
3. Check your internet connection and use the retry control if it appears. The web beta may still need to download a recording.
4. If the sound still does not play, reload the page and try again. A letter can still be completed with sound off; pause the sound-learning activity if the recording is unclear.

Actual playback depends on the browser and device. Some narration can use a browser voice when a recording is unavailable; recorded letter sounds are handled separately.

If a picture or page doesn’t load

Check the connection, then reload the page. This beta is not a fully offline app. If the problem continues, note the letter and picture name for a report.

How do we collect the other pictures?

Each letter unlocks one dinosaur friend and has three pictures to collect. Play the same letter again to discover another picture. For example, A brings Amber, and repeat visits collect apple, ant and alligator. Open the explorer book to choose a letter.

Where did the stickers go?

Use the same browser and device as before. Progress is saved locally when browser storage is available. Private browsing, clearing site data or switching browsers can make the explorer book unavailable. There is no login or cloud backup to restore it from.

Avoid clearing site data while troubleshooting unless you want to remove that browser’s progress. In Grown-ups, hold to review a reset or choose “Reset using confirmation.” Nothing clears until you confirm.

Take a break whenever you like

Use Home when it is time to stop. Turning animation off is available in the app’s Grown-ups settings, and sound has its own speaker control. Short, shared sessions with room to pause and replay are a good way to explore the beta.

Report a problem

A dedicated parent support email has not been added yet. During this beta, reply to the person who shared Dino Letter Hunt with you. These details help:

• Your device model and browser, such as iPad with Safari.
• The letter and screen: Hear, Find, Match, reward, or explorer book.
• What you tapped, what happened, and what you expected.
• For audio: the word or phrase, and whether it was delayed, cut off, unclear, or silent.

Please leave out children’s names, photos and recordings. If you include a screenshot, crop away unrelated tabs, account details and notifications.
